Speaker Line-up for REST Fest 2011
We have another great line up of talks this year. Just like last year, all attendees will do at least one FiveInFive talk.
We also have some excellent ExtendedTalks on tap for Saturday (August 20th):
- Subbu Allamaraju (of eBay) - Measuring REST
- Randall Tombaugh (of Microsoft) - Web API: Bringing HTTP front and center in WCF
- Kev Burns, Jr - A Resource Oriented Hypermedia Framework
- Richard Hipp (creator of SQLite) - UnQL: a common high-level query language
This year's Friday night (August 19th) keynote, RESTLess: Why you should stop using REST, will be delivered by Jon Moore of Comcast. it should be a very interesting presentation and discussion afterwards!
All of these fabulous talks will be filmed thanks to the kind sponsorship of Twilio. We're excited to have the opportunity to enjoy and share these great talks for more than just three days!
But wait, there's more!
Just like last year, Friday (August 19th) is our Workshop Day. This year we have two workshops! Darrel Miller is presenting A smorgasbord of HTTP middleware and Mike Amundsen is presenting Link Relations : An Overview.
We have also added a HackDay this year on Thursday (August 18th) sponsored by Github. everyone gets to show up and work on building compliant hypermedia clients and servers based on the same microblogging hypermedia spec. attendees win prizes (like this cool Nerd Merit Badge and other geeky stuff) and we all get to test and compare our code in a relaxed uber-geeky hackathon.
If you've not yet registered there's still time! We'd love to have you be apart of this year's REST Fest. Bring slides, ideas, and friends!
